2011 In ReViEw

It's been 16 months since my last post...but since we got a new computer, I can upload pics again without it freezing so I am going to attempt to update you all on what happened last year. Looking back at the pictures I can't believe how much they've all changed. Zadie is now in Kindergarten and is such a big helper...I can't believe she is six! Anyway...Hope you enjoy our year in review. I'll try to be better in 2012 about keeping it up to date!

First day of Kindergarten

Jan 2011-our annual New Year's Day snowmobiling trip. It was WAY TOO COLD to go, but we had fun anyway-we went with Brandon, Shaleen, Blake and Becky.
Sledding with the cousins in Big Piney

Mr. Romeo-3 years old

Lukas #1-Wow how the year flew by!Isn't he so cute!!!!Romeo taught himself how to stand on his head so we had to get a picture of him, Kennedy and Dad displaying their talents.

Easter Egg Hunt with all the cousins at Mom's house Easter Morning-all dolled up.

Supercross-Annual tradition. Derrick, Brandon, Blake and Romeo

Romeo's electrical tape casts-isn't daddy creative??

We went to Mississippi in May for a week to see Jessie and their family. We went to the zoo, the ocean and ate lots of great food. It was so much fun we can't wait to go back! We didn't even mind the 27 hour drive!!!

After our day at the ocean

Swimming with Denton's family...don't you just love the goggles. This is one of my favorite pics!

Zadie is still beautiful, even when we're fishing!

Eating at Del Sol our last night in Hattiesburg.
Lukas playing with the goggles on. He thinks they're motorcycle goggles.

Captaining Papa's boat

Bar J Wranglers-While camping up Gray's River in July, Papa Layne got antsy and decided to take us to Jackson on an excursion. We went and saw the Bar J Wranglers and had a great time together.

The kids loved playing in the hammock we had set up outside our camper. It was quite relaxing!
Only in Wyoming...Snow and Flowers.
Love that cheeto face!! Grandma let Lukas loose and he was a dirty mess! But I guess anything goes when you're camping, right? As long as we're all having fun.

Romeo's first day of preschool! Isn't he handsome?

Lukas posing with his beanie and sunglasses. He thought he was quite a stud. He still loves to look at himself!
Our beautiful babies...We couldn't be more blessed.

We're B...A...C...K...!!

So for all of you who have wondered what has been going on with us...SORRY.
Being a mom of 3 keeps me pretty busy. Most weeks I don't even get to check my email and the thought of adding blogging into my already busy schedule overwhelmes me, so i just don't do it. OBVIOUSLY! But...my sister Jessie and my wonderful family in Wyoming loves to be updated on our lives and even more on pics of the kids, so I am going to give it a go again.
We spent a lot of time this summer camping and spending time together as a family, and yes I have pictures, but the thought of playing catch-up overwhelmes me to tears even more, so I am going to just have to make a fresh start today. Maybe I'll surprise you sometime with pics of our adventures this summer, but I'm not making any promises.
For my Aunt and Uncle's YM/YW program, they did a fundraiser and Emily Clark took family pictures. They turned out so good so I thought I would share them with you all so you could see how much the kids have grown. I think I have the best looking family ever...and the most handsome hubby!

My knight in shining armor...

Pre-School Graduation

Miss Zadie May
I can't believe that your first year of preschool has passed.
You are still my baby girl in so many ways, yet you grow up faster and faster every time I turn around.
You are beautiful, kind, loving, sent right from heaven.
I love you with all my heart and am so grateful to be your Mommy!
First day of preschool and graduation.
Zadie & Ashley Roberts-they are also in the same primary class
Jaren-look at that smile!
I caught Zadie smiling at me during the program. It was so cute! I think she has the most beautiful smile.
Zadie, Miss Dana and Jaren
Mommy and Zadie-I love my little girl.
Jaren and Zadie with their diplomas. Good job guys!
A local photographer Sandy Schurz came to the preschool and took pictures of the kids. Here are some I got of Zadie. I can't help but say this:
Isn't she beautiful!

LiTtLe BoYs

This was Romeo while I was taking pictures of the kids in the yard. He was totally uninterested as you can see, but I think he is still so cute, even when he isn't posing.
Romeo is getting around really well on his little bike. He keeps us with the other kids here in the cul-de-sac and our elderly neighbors get a kick out of watching him buzz around. Usually the first thing he asks in the morning is if he can go ride his 'bicycle.'
Papa Layne with Lukas. They came down for a visit a couple weeks ag and spent some time with us right before Mother's Day. It was really good to see them.
One afternoon Lukas was being fussy and I was done. So Derrick was taking care of him for me, trying to calm him down. Well, he did the trick and rocked them both to sleep. :)
The other day Romeo fell asleep around noon while I was nursing Lukas. When I layed the baby down, their feet were touching. Well, Lukas started crying and Romeo rose up, layed down next to him and put his arm around him all without waking up, and Lukas calmed right down. I thought this was precious-already looking out for his little brother.

Our Beautiful Kiddies

I took some pics of the kids in the yard for the books I made my mom and Rosie. I thought they turned out pretty good.

Priceless!

Happy Mother's Day @ the Jazz Game

For Mother's Day Derrick asked me if I would like to go to a playoff Jazz game. Since I am always up for a trip out to Salt Lake and I love going to Jazz games, I said YES!! With Lukas being so little, we took him with us and he did so good. We just put some of Derrick's ear plugs in so he wouldn't be startled and he was such a good boy. Here is the opening tip off. We were in the 28th row of the lower bowl so we had really good seats.
Lukas and Mommy at the game. (See the little yellow ear plugs in his ears.)Derron Williams and Derrick Fisher
Cute little Lukas. He was such a good boy during the game. The people around us kept saying how cute he was and what good boy he was being. I had to agree with them. :)The lady we were sitting next to (A Laker's fan no less), asked us if we wanted a picture of the three of us. This was towards the end of the game and Lukas was still happy. He even fell asleep at the end of the 4th quarter. Too bad they lost 111-110, but it was a good game and lots of fun being with my sweetheart.
After the game we went to eat with one of Derrick's co-workers who was also out there with his wife, and then we drove home. We didn't get home until 2 am, but I wanted to be home for Mother's day with the kids. Thanks honey for the funnest Mother's Day yet. I love you!!
