Mississippi Trip

Here Zadie is with Baby Layla and Grandma Shellie. She wanted to hold her non-stop. We had to keep telling her she had to take turns. She loved kissing on her and if she got a little fussy, Zadie told us all that Baby Layla needed her. She loves her so much!

Here is a picture of all the grandkids-Zadie, Layla, Romeo, Brody and Shelbe right after the blessing. Aren't they so cute!
We had family pictures taken at an old mansion called the Hermitage. Zadie and Shelbe loved posing for pictures. Too cute!
Zadie and Baby Layla-one of the many times she held her!
Shelbe, Aunt Jessie and Zadie-Zadie has asked me so many times already if she could go back to Aunt Jessie's house. I think she would have stayed if I'd let her. She loves Aunt Jessie!
Zadie and Brody-all the kids had a lot of fun playing together-most of the time:)
Zadie and Shelbe had to pose for us in their princess nightgowns.
I miss Jessie so much! I wish she lived closer, but it was so nice to get to go see her in Mississippi. (Thanks Grandpa Bill!!) We had lots of late nights and long talks. I look forward to the summer when she'll be here and we can spend more time together. Love ya Jess!
This is the last night we were there. I was trying to get all our stuff gathered up and Romeo crawled in the suitcase then couldn't figure out how to get out. I guess he was definitely ready to go!

Laughing Romeo

I took a video of Zadie crashing on Romeo's fire truck because it was making him crack up. I don't know why it's so dark, but listen carefully and you'll hear the greatest sound ever-little kids laughing.

Little Miss Zadie

You look at this picture and think to yourself, "What a sweet little girl." right? Well, the other day she wasn't so sweet. I was at the computer doing my never-ending bookwork, and she was being really good. I just figured she was playing with her toys. Little did I know that she was transferring all of the toys from her room, and the clothes from the dresser into my room and onto my bed. When I discovered it, I didn't know whether to laugh or yell! I have no idea how she got it all stacked so high. As I was putting it all away, I just kept telling myself someday I'll laugh about this and today I am. I love her! Most of her toys and clothes from the dresser stacked on my bed. These pictures don't do the mess justice. It took me forever to put it all away!

Romeo's 1st Birthday

Look at the handsome birthday boy. Isn't he so cute? When we first put the cake on his tray he looked at all of us like, "What do you want me to do with this?" It didn't take long for him to figure it out. He especially liked the sprinkles and the frosting. He was such a mess when he finished! Here he is sharing the frosting with Mommy. As you can see, he had it all over and he wanted to share with all of us. He kept trying to give tastes to everyone.
What a messy Boy!
Romeo's cousins opened most of his presents. He wasn't very interested. He just wanted to sit with Grandma Shellie. He and Zadie have really missed her since she's been gone. He left his presents to go sit with her so she had to come sit on the floor with him. Anyway, here he is sitting on his little fire truck. He really likes to rock back and forth on it. Plus, the noise makes it better than any other toy, right?
Here's Mommy and the birthday boy before the party. He had just woken up from a nap and wasn't wanting to be sociable. He's still cute, though!
I decorated Romeo's cake like the movie 'Cars' since that's what he's into now-pushing cars around, not the movie. He pushes anything he can get his hands on all over the floor. Such a boy! He's even starting to make the noises.
Here's Romeo with Uncle Yaeger before we took him to the bath. He had frosting everywhere, even on the back of his head and behind his ears!
Look how dirty the water his from the chocolate frosting!!!
Here he is, good as new. I can't get over how handsome he is!

Five Generations

On Christmas Day Great Grandma Vida came to dinner at Mom's house. She looks so pretty with the coursage Catlin had made for her. We got a five generation picture and I think we're a pretty good looking group! :)
Zadie just had to get in on this one. Grandma Marcia, Mom (Grandma Shellie), Zadie, Mommy (Me), Romeo and Great Great Grandma Vida.

Little Zadie

Isn't she the prettiest dish washer ever!

The other night we made some banana bread and Zadie wanted to wash the dishes for me. She got right up on the stool and went to town. She did a really good job too. She is such a helper!

Notice how Zadie is wearing her jammies. When sh wears them like this she calls them her 'garments'. She'll tell me she's wearing them like mommy. So precious! For Christmas Mom got Zadie some play make-up. She was so excited that she could put make-up on like me. She does a pretty good job with the fake stuff.

On Saturday when I was getting ready I didn't notice that Zadie was using my makeup as well. Usually she just plays with the brushes, but not this time. She had black, white and brown eye liner everywhere and a ton of lipstick on. I just told her how pretty she was and asked if I could have her picture. She is such a girl!! Yikes! But I really do love it.
